The need for adult day services in this South Chicago community has been met through the auspices of Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago and their Housing Development group. The Center was formed to provide supervised activities that focus on stimulating the senior clients who spend the day and are served a lite breakfast, lunch and an afternoon tea. Furnishings needed to be flexible for the variety of planned activities as well as addressing certain physical constraints of a percentage of this group.

A special dining area was set aside for seniors enjoying special activities and meals during daylight hours. Since the Center is attached to a senior housing facility, a special kitchen serves both Adult Day services and, after 6:00pm, activities that provide for that facilities independent living residents' hospitality functions.
