The Commons Rooms at the Latin School of Chicago are housed in an adjacent turn-of-the-century residence. Since the original architectural character of the house represents the period of the school's inception, it was important to retain the rich detail such a house affords while providing a quiet and comfortable background for meetings and receptions.

An expanded library for the Middle and Upper Schools was one of the major goals of the project. JHA provided an ambiance completely divorced from the classroom -- a space for quiet study with books and computer support, in a tranquil setting.
